Carrot, Mango, Orange & Ginger Juice

24th January 2016

Carrot, Mango, Orange and Ginger Juice.

I caved. I caved and I got a juicer, after my protests of “I really like smoothies, I don’t need a juicer in my life” and “why would I buy a juicer when I could just buy the juices?”

I’ll tell you why, Grace of the past, because juicers are freakin’ great. I was spending an unholy amount of money on ready made green juices when I could’ve just been making them myself all along. Also, I’ve totally souped-up my old favourite – carrot and ginger juice.

There was a mango and an orange hanging about when I went to make my carrot and ginger juice and I thought, why not throw them in too? It was a good decision. The added orange yields a whole lot more juice than carrots alone, and the mango adds a touch of tropical sweetness; all coming together to make the most vivid, refreshing and satisfyingly frothy juice you could imagine.

Juice that packs a punch; sweet and fruity but zingy with ginger. Makes 750ml-1 litre of juice.

I've definitely been liking juices over smoothies lately. Smoothies can become a little too filling. Maybe I'm just not getting my fruit-yoghurt-milk combos right! Worst thing about making fresh juices has got to be trying to clean out those bulky juicers. The price you pay for yumminess I suppose!

Yeah, I do have to admit the clean up process is a bit of a hassle compared to smoothies! It's definitely worth it though!

I'm not a huge fan of ginger, but if I tweaked this without it it would be perfect! Juicers seem like a really cost effective idea. Lovely post!

I want to buy a juicer! I go to this place where you can pick what you want juiced and I get a combo of mint, grapefruit, apple. It's quite tangy but it's good 🙂

It's definitely an acquired taste but I'm sure it would taste good without it too! x
